After months of work, we’re officially launching The Deliberate Leader – our new brand built with one clear focus: helping leaders lead with purpose and intention. I’ll share more in a moment, but first – this shift got me thinking about your leadership brand.
Your Leadership Brand is Always at Work
A title doesn’t make you a leader. Your brand does. It’s the experience you create, the reputation you build, and the impact you leave behind. Whether shaped with intention or left to chance, your brand influences how others perceive you, how you lead teams, and how effectively you drive results.
But here’s the difference between good leaders and great ones: great leaders don’t just build a brand – they review, refine and evolve it over time.
Just as businesses refine their strategy to stay competitive, leaders must assess their brand – who they are, what they stand for, and whether they’re making the impact they intend. Clinging to a leadership style that no longer serves you (or your team) holds you back. The best leaders tune in, recognise when it’s time for a shift, and adjust with intention.
How Strong is Your Leadership Brand?
Your leadership brand is shaped by:
1️⃣ Your values – the principles that anchor you.
2️⃣ Your behaviours – how consistently you align with those values.
3️⃣ Your impact – the effect you have on your team, business, and industry.
Values stay constant, but the way we lead must adapt. If your leadership brand is stagnant, you risk becoming misaligned with new challenges, disconnected from your team, or stuck in outdated ways of working.
So, how do you know when it’s time for a brand refresh? Ask yourself:
❓ Is my leadership still aligned with my vision and purpose?
❓ Am I creating the impact I intend?
❓ Do others experience my leadership the way I want them to?
❓ Has my environment changed in a way that requires me to lead differently?

For years, my work has centred on helping leaders build trust, navigate complexity, and lead with intention. But growth demands evolution, and it’s time to take this to the next level. As I reflected on my own impact and where I can add the most value, it became clear that my brand needed to expand.
That’s why I’m excited to introduce The Deliberate Leader – a renewed, sharpened commitment to supporting leaders to lead with purpose, clarity, and confidence.
This isn’t about changing what I stand for. It’s about refining how I bring it to life. It’s about cutting through the noise and delivering what truly matters: helping leaders sharpen their self-awareness, elevate their impact, and create environments where people and business thrive.
Leadership is a Constantly Evolving Brand
Some leaders hold onto what once worked, even when it’s no longer effective. Others change constantly, with no clear anchor. Deliberate leaders find the balance – staying true to their core while adapting to new realities.
If you don’t check in on your leadership brand, you risk becoming outdated, reactive, or ineffective. But if you assess, refine, and make deliberate shifts, you stay sharp, relevant, and ahead of the curve.
Just as companies rebrand to reflect their evolution, leaders must do the same. That’s exactly what I’m doing now – and it’s what I challenge you to do, too.
